Other highlights include work to create a mathematical model to predict genetic resistance to antimalarial drugs in Africa, and a new study which supports the safety of a WHO recommended malaria treatment, and the first study of its kind, researchers have created bear real-time maps to support antimalarial drug resistance monitoring, using routine malaria surveillance data and individually patient linked data on molecular markers of antimalarial drug resistance.
