Our programmes and activities are governed by the Infectious Diseases Data Observatory (IDDO) Board of Directors. Members are drawn from malaria endemic regions, academia and the public health sector, and are selected based on their international expertise and standing.

Board members provide advice on IDDO’s strategic direction and positioning.

They support the IDDO Senior Management Team to:

  • Build awareness of the need for quality-assured information on drug efficacy
  • Create and maintain a secure Data Centre
  • Ensure ongoing data contribution and ethical data sharing.

Board members review and approve new activities including operational issues. The group meets at least twice annually, usually in Oxford in June/July with the Scientific Advisory Committee.  A second meeting is usually held in conjunction with an international scientific conference, such as ASTMH in the USA. Board members can also support sub-committees or working groups for specific research projects.
