WWARN - Worldwide Antimalarial Resistance Network

Pharmacology QA/QC

For laboratories conducting antimalarial drug assays, WWARN initiated a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) programme with two major components:

  • A proficiency testing programme sending blinded QC samples to participating laboratories.
  • A reference material programme for the provision of small quantities of reference standards, including drug standards, reference metabolite standards, and appropriate internal standards to participating laboratories.

The Pharmacology QA/QC programme is directed by Prof Niklas Lindegardh. For additional information, read through our QA/QC brochure and our recent Malaria Journal article, or contact QAQC@wwarn.org.
