Professor Coll-Seck has been Executive Director of the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Partnership since 2004.  She is a professor of infectious diseases and an expert in public health and tropical medicine.  From 2001 to 2003 she was health minister for Senegal.  Professor Coll-Seck has also been president of the Assembly of the Ministries of Health of the West African Health Organization and director of the policy, strategy and research department at the joint UN programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), where she led the programme's largest department.

Professor Francine Ntoumi is currently Chair and Executive Director of the Congolese Foundation for Medical Research, and Project Coordinator of CANTAM.  She was the Multilateral Initiative on Malaria (MIM) Coordinator until August 2010. In this role one of her main aims was to build a pool of African malaria researchers, particularly encouraging more women into science. Prior to 2007, she was Senior Scientific Officer at the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP). In 2010 Le Metropolis magazine made her one of Congo's top 50 women to make their mark on the country's history.

Professor Dorsey is an expert and prolific author on the clinical and molecular aspects of antimalarial drug resistance, epidemiology and the relationship between HIV and malaria.  He is an Associate Professor in Infectious Disease at the University of California in San Francisco. Grant has over 18 years’ experience in medicine and public health and has spent several years doing antimalarial research in Uganda. 

The Worldwide Antimalarial Resistance Network (WWARN) is collaborating with the WHO Global Malaria Programme (GMP) on an initial 3-year project to improve data transfer and information exchange, and to develop tools to facilitate the monitoring of antimalarial drug efficacy and drug resistance.

Dr Guérin was appointed WWARN Executive Director in January 2009. Dr Guérin has extensive experience working in the field for Médecins sans Frontières and a researcher for a Wellcome Trust Research Unit in Africa and Asia. Following three years as a Senior Advisor to the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Dr Guérin joined Épicentre in Paris, a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Research in epidemiology and response to emerging diseases, where he served as Scientific Director for six years before moving to WWARN.
