The Tracking Resistance to Artemisinin Collaboration (TRAC) is a three-year project funded by a grant from the UK Government Department for International Development (DfID). The aim of the collaboration is to investigate the scope and spread of parasite resistance to artemisinin-based therapies. Researchers will study clinical, molecular, pharmacologic and socio-economic aspects of artemisinin resistance at 15 sites across Asia and Africa.
The collaboration partners are MORU, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, WWARN and WHO. The Principal Investigator is Professor Nick White (MORU).
The WWARN website hosts the TRAC web forum, an invitation-only site for the TRAC clinical investigators. Once registered on the WWARN website, TRAC investigators are able to network and enter discussion groups with each other, upload and share study-related documents and files in their own, dedicated web space. The forum is administrated by the TRAC Project Coordinator, Dr Liz Ashley.
