Software Engineer/Senior Software Engineer - WorldWide Antimalarial Resistance Network (WWARN)

Grade 8: £39,992 - £47,722 p.a.

We are looking for a Senior / Software Engineer to join our existing team of engineers and contribute to a range of software development projects. You will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis, design and implementation, through to testing and maintenance. As the senior software engineer, you may also be required to lead software development projects, to come up with innovative solutions to complex problems, and to drive concepts through to practical realisation.

You will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline such as computer science or equivalent experience and be highly competent and experienced in Java programming. You will also be comfortable programming in several different programming languages. You will be proficient in object-oriented programming (OOP) techniques and have experience of relational database design. Ideally you should have experience of Designing Scientific Data Visualisations, but this is not essential.

This post may also be offered at Grade 7 (£31,604 - £38,833 p.a.) according to experience and with an appropriate adjustment of duties.

This post is fixed-term until 31 December 2019 in the first instance.
