Dr Lyda Osorio

Dr Lyda Osorio is Assistant Professor of Public Health at Universidad del Valle, Coordinator of the PhD programme in Health and Associate Researcher at Centro Internacional de Entrenamiento e Investigaciones Medicas (CIDEIM), Colombia. Dr Osorio’s research interests include epidemiology and control of infectious diseases, clinical trials, epidemiological surveillance and research capacity. Dr Osorio was previously a WHO/TDR Fellow at GlaxoSmithKline where she worked on clinical trials on tafenoquine, a medicine that is being investigated as a potential new treatment against malaria vivax relapsing stages. She is currently researching arboviral diseases in Latin America and conducting training on GCP.
