Dr Georgina Humphreys

Senior Scientist Malaria & NTDs

Dr Georgina Humphreys joined WWARN in September 2012. Her role is to coordinate the WWARN study groups by encouraging partner engagement and managing the data curation and development of publications. Georgina has extensive experience in malaria research, both in UK academic institutions, and in the field in East Africa. She completed an MSc at the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and a PhD at University of Glasgow.  She then spent 12 months as a postdoctoral reseacher in Tanzania with the Ifakara Health Institute, before moving back to the UK and joining WWARN.  Georgina is a committed science communicator and works with the STEM Ambassadors network and the University of Oxford Museums to engage and inspire the public.
