Anne became the Head of Communications & Advocacy for the Infectious Diseases Data Observatory (IDDO) in April 2016. She was previously Interim Head of Advocacy & Communications at WWARN. Based at the Centre for Tropical Medicine & Global Health at the University of Oxford, Anne develops and implements communications and advocacy activities that support IDDO’s strategic, scientific and operational goals. She works closely with researchers and collaborators within the IDDO network, to help facilitate collaboration between a range of stakeholders including researchers and clinicians across the infectious diseases community, public health workers, policy makers, donors and the media. Anne is part of the IDDO Secretariat Senior Management Team, and also takes a leading role in the coordination of communications for the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health. 

Prior to joining WWARN, Anne was Head of Marketing at Buckinghamshire New University. She has also worked in communications/marketing roles at Oxford Brookes University and at scientific research, conservation and education charity, Earthwatch. She worked for the BBC for 12 years in a variety of roles. Anne is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ Education & Skills Group and has a CIPR postgraduate diploma.
